Qigong is an ancient Chinese system of self development with roots in Daoism, Buddhism, and Traditional Chinese Medice.
It is practised for health, healing, wellbeing, and nurturing spiritual development. There are also applications in the martial arts.
Qigong literally means skillful cultivation of Qi (also written Chi) through regular practice.
Meditation features in all religions and is often practised in a secular context. I teach a variety of approaches:
Mindfullness of senses, breath, thoughts and feelings
Body scan and body awareness
Resting in the witness or observing self
Gratitude and compassion meditations
Working with difficult emotions
A range of guided meditations to promote deep relaxation
